Writing Spaces
Writing Spaces is based on the stories of men and women who have immigrated to France over the past 40 years. These narratives are carried onstage by an actor who moves freely among the spectators. During the performance, the public has the possibility of modifying the text and the scenography in real time. It is their relation with what they hear that creates the play, as much as the initial stories themselves.
Writing Spaces is a place to listen and a place to write. It is a journey into an environment of non-linear speech, populated by images and sounds, that is continuously remapped according to the viewer's intuitions and imagination.
Next performances March 9 through 11, 2012 at Cité de l'Histoire de l'Immigration, Paris.
